God made all the greatest necessities of life very pleasurable--breathing, eating, sleeping, exercising and sex. "Thou hast created all things, and for Thy pleasure they are and were created." (Rev.4:11) God created us to enjoy all these things. He created the very nerves which feel good and the senses which feel pleasant. He gifted us to be able to look upon things which are pleasing to the eye, to taste things which are delicious, to hear beautiful music, to feel pleasurable sensations of touch and to smell the lovely fragrance of a flower.
Pleasure is God-created for our good! But some people have been taught that all pleasure is sinful and wicked, and that they shouldn't be happy, and they shouldn't have pleasure. But the only connotation in which the Bible mentions pleasure as being wrong is where it is put before Godliness, before the Lord and obedience to His Word.
Just remember, the greatest happiness comes not in your personal pursuit of pleasure and satisfaction, but in finding God and giving His life to others and bringing them happiness! Be sure you put God first, and then you can have all this and Heaven too! (See Psa.37:4; Mat.6:33.)
