When things get tough, you've got to fight all the harder!--And if you do, you'll win, and get greater victories! When the going's tough, the tough get going! Like John Paul Jones: When his ship was sinking, most of his crew slaughtered, and his own arm nearly torn off, the enemy asked him if he was ready to surrender, and he screamed back, "Hell, no!--We haven't even begun to fight yet!"--And he was right! He hadn't--but he did!--And he went on to win the battle.
Maybe you haven't even begun to fight the ol' Devil yet! Maybe "ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin." (Heb.12:4)--Like Jesus did. Even though it killed Him, only three days later He rose in triumph from the tomb! The kind of soldiers who win victories are the ones who refuse to quit fighting! So "be not weary in well-doing, for in due season ye shall reap if ye faint not." (Gal.6:9) "endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, that you may please Him Who hath chosen you to be a soldier!" (2Tim.2:3) Fight the good fight, keep the faith, and finish the course!--And there'll be a crown laid up for you! (1Tim.6:12; 2Tim.4:7,8)
May God help you to be faithful to the end! "Be faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life!" (Rev.2:10)
